If you've never experienced Norman, OK during the holidays, than you've never felt the way that a large college town completely respires it's student body to parts unknown and finds the locals creeping out of their holes and heading out to reconnect with their favorite watering holes. If you're really cool, like me, than you head to The Library, which is what I did last night and experienced the somewhat surreal fact that every other table in the joint was occupied by former acquaintences of some form or another.
The next point of order here would be to explain that like Kevin Barnes, I too have an alter-ego. Unlike his Georgie Fruit, the former R&B sinder turned genderless superhero, my doppelganger is a 54 year old, 1 mile fun runner named Jerry Lang. Well yesterday, fate intervened and low and behold Jerry Lang recalled the fitness of his youth and set a new age group national record at the OKC Trukey Trot. My memory of yesterday eludes me but I did find it odd that I woke up this morning smelling like Aspercreme and 25 year Bourbon.

Lang's unlikely victory bruised the egos of too many place- and age-sensitive runners for it to stand.

Thanks for clearing up the results. I didn't want to offend the age groupers and had directly told the DG people my bib and real age but they failed to change it initially. I hope nobody took it personally. Looks like you had a good race, man.
My goal being 28:58 (the minimum for getting on the Oklahoma LDR list in the M40-44) division, I did have a good race.
